Session #1: Artisanal hand crafted data builds
Before anyone gets excited about AI, we want to talk you through the latest and greatest of old school data technologies as the foundation for whatever you're doing next. We'll be covering the much hyped Lakehouse//RT (Reyden), LTAP and Disaster Recovery, but also the cornerstones of SQL workloads like Multi Table Transactions, Catalog Managed Commits and open table interoperability.
Session #2: Token maxxing data builds
Developing with AI tools is getting better and better; removing the tedium of boilerplate setup, searching for error messages and context switching between Jira, Teams and the CLI. Yes, we have our own AI sparkles, but there is so much more in Databricks than just a coding assistant. There's MCPs, Unity AI Gateway, ZeroOps and Omnigent. We'll show you how to streamline your workflow, automate the stuff you don't like and importantly, keep an eye on the pennies.
Session #3: Handing builds to the masses
Handling 'just one more requirement' as you share your work with the non data folk. The days of a rigid dashboard with a two week feedback cycle are now over. Apps, Genie, and chatting to custom dashboards are now a thing to help with understanding, decision making, and preventing exports to csv.
